Greenhill Village Townhomes Association

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Attention Please!  We have a very important meeting for all owners on August 31st, 6PM at the Cedar Falls Public Library upstairs.  We will be conducting our 2/3 Vote to approve restoration of damage to our buildings and also voting on the “Special Assessment” of $4,850.00 each.  We really need you or your proxy there!  Please read the letter, guide and proxy documents on this site under the Documents heading.  Thank You!  Call me if you would like to talk or meet about this assessment for any reason.  My number is 541-954-6549, Kent Ratekin, Board President.  I also read the 50613 email everyday listed under the Contact Us heading.

We are very happy to announce the completion of stage two “sod instead of gravel” along our front Algonquin driveways.  They are looking great!  Thanks to owners for helping with the watering.

The extensive landscaping project on the north side of the ponds still needs some landscaping help but the retaining walls and dike look great.  The contractor is returning to finish some topical treatments and we may need to do more work to help erosion between the buildings.

Aquatic Control of Des Moines has continued to improve the pond water purity, and greatly reduced the invasive water plant species that were in abundance last summer.  The fountains are working great and both ponds are doing well.  There seems to be a lot of trash left by the shore, feel free to remind the kids and fishers to be courteous, respectful and pick up their garbage.

Our Annual Meeting was held in the Cedar Falls Public Library on Monday, August 10th at 6PM, upstairs.  Financial and Grounds Reports were shared as well as information about the Wind/Hail Settlement with State Farm and the need for a Special Assessment.  Kent Ratekin and Rachelle Wiersma had their three year Board terms renewed.
